Annual activities report for 2008 Annual activities report for 2007 "Pirgos" sport shooting club was founded on 12 April 2007 by a group of people fond of the sport. The founders have joined together led by the idea to recreate the traditions in this attractive Olympic sport which have existed in Burgas not far ago and to fill the gap in the city's sporting life.
When writing down the club rules high aims were set for the leadership and for the individual member. Namely they are: the all round growth of the sport, the financial, organizational and sportsmen development of contestants from every age in the disciplines: Skeet, Trap and Silhouette Shooting for participation in the tournaments of the National calendar and the development of the sport shooting capabilities of the club members and all fans who would like to practice that sport. The club is established as a non-profit organization devoted to socially useful activities in the area of physical education and sport and as such it is enlisted in the Central register of the Judicial Ministry under number 20070522008. The club is also admitted as a full member of the Bulgarian Shooting Federation (BSF) and in addition enlisted in the National Register of Licensed Sport Organizations and clubs under number 1-043-012 and also registered with the National Agency for the Youth and Sports. Currently the club's teams are regular participants in the state tournaments and the national series administrated by the BSF. What is more, the tournaments of the club calendar have become widely popular with the members and fans. The tournaments in the Sporting and Running boar disciplines are quite attractive with the fans of hunting, because these disciplines closely resemble shooting during real hunting and are a good way for recreation and development of the shooting abilities outside the hunting season. |
